We keep what was printed, explain what does not agree, and leave unsupported readings out of comparisons. A printing discrepancy is not proof that an entire product is defective.
AprilAire 413: two pressures at the same printed airflow
The label repeats 1,893 CFM with two different pressure values. We keep both readings and leave this photographed table out of comparisons.
Approved original-label crop. Open to enlarge; the printed values have not been redrawn or repaired.
What the source says
1,893 CFM / 0.23 in. w.c.; 1,893 CFM / 0.33 in. w.c.
R149 prints 757/.09, 1136/.15, 1893/.23, 1893/.33, 2000/.37, in source order. The intended airflow or pressure correction is unknown.
What we do with it
Entire R149 pressure table held from charts, calculations and ranking. A separate manual table does not repair this package label. This does not show that the whole product is defective.
Separate source-image readbacks confirm transcription; not independent laboratory testing.
Source references: R149. Issue record: N37-C01.

Filtrete 1550: a printed decimal we cannot correct
The label prints 0.013 at 820 CFM. Andy confirmed that the printed value is erroneous; the intended value is unknown. We have not changed it to 0.13.
Approved original-label crop. Open to enlarge; the printed values have not been redrawn or repaired.
R042 and separately associated R058 show the same unusual decimal. Cross-retailer product identity remains unproven.
What we do with it
Both photographed 1550 curves are held in full from charts, calculations and ranking. Preserve the printed decimal; neither smoothing nor a guessed correction is allowed.
Preserved source readings; acceptance is explained above

2026-10-28: Historical owner review confirmed the printed decimal is erroneous. Intended corrected value was not supplied.
2026-10-31: Source-pixel readback reconfirmed literal .013. Added stable issue ID and explicit linkage to both source-specific curves; no numerical correction.

AprilAire 413: particle-size bin needs clarification
The first particle-size bin is printed .03–1.0 µm. We preserve it without assuming the usual 0.3–1.0 bin.
What the source says
.03–1.0 µm
A label bin differs from the conventional E1 range; no correction inferred.
What we do with it
Printed PSE percentages are not used as validated particle-specific efficiencies. This issue does not block unrelated manual pressure rows.
Separate source-image readbacks confirm transcription; not independent laboratory testing.

Open source question
AprilAire 410: capture claim held for review
The photographed label prints 32% in the largest particle bin. That claim is flagged rather than used in a clean-air calculation.

HDX FPR 7: packaging and retailer disagree
The photographed package says MERV 11. The matching retailer SKU listing says MERV 10. We show the disagreement rather than convert FPR to MERV.

Related public source: Home Depot matching SKU listing retrieved 2026-10-31; MERV 10.

Corrected transcription
Honeywell: a transcription correction, not a label correction
A closer read corrected our transcription to 0.054 at 683 CFM. The original printed number was not changed.
What the source says
Earlier transcription 0.064; corrected source transcription 0.054 at 683 CFM
Downscaling made a 5 resemble a 6. Two native source views agree on .054.
What we do with it
Use .054 at 683 CFM with its retained source. Do not discard the correction receipt or call this a manufacturer printing error.

BestAir: check the actual depth (P17)
Actual-depth or model-label readings disagree. A nominal-size match is not enough to confirm fit.
What the source says
Actual depth and model-prefix readings conflict. Confirm exact cabinet fit.

BestAir: check the actual depth (P39)
Actual-depth or model-label readings disagree. A nominal-size match is not enough to confirm fit.
What the source says
Printed actual-depth readings conflict (3-5/8 versus 3.75 inches). Confirm exact fit.

Open source question
AprilAire: conflicting archived pressure tables
Some archived manufacturer tables disagree. The affected source-specific curves are withheld, not averaged.
What the source says
Models 113, 610, 613 and 913 have source/revision/context differences.
A newer date or matching model name alone does not establish equivalent media, assembly or test context.
What we do with it
All affected published document curves remain held. Unlinked archived document values and restricted PDFs remain private.
Readings, sources and correction history
Historical source-specific document transcriptions and conflict register reconciled. This is not new laboratory testing; unlinked revisions remain private.
2026-10-31: Source and historical register reconciled; no replacement value inferred.
Historical register references: legacy-Honeywell-context-exclusions. 2 pressure observations excluded by this issue. Holds on capture or fit do not automatically invalidate separately usable pressure evidence.
Have a clearer source?
A corrected manufacturer document or a legible label revision can help. We retain the original reading and explain any change; we do not silently replace it.
