MERV and fit notes

MERV 11 or 12 is often a practical starting point. MERV 13+ can provide better filtration, but restrictive systems should verify airflow/static pressure before upgrading.

4-inch filters usually have more filter media surface area than 1-inch filters. When the size and rack depth are correct, more media area can often help airflow and service life.

1-inch filters are common and easy to replace, but they may load up faster. Higher MERV is not automatically better if the system cannot handle the airflow resistance.

Check your current filter size and depth before ordering. Exact brand availability varies, and retail links do not guarantee current price, tax, delivery, or stock.

For pros: verify size, depth, cabinet, or rail setup before quoting or ordering.
